From the Alpinist collection, first launched in 1959, these watches were designed for Japanese ‘Yama-otoko' mountain men, to be reliable in treacherous terrain.
The popular SPB121 Alpinist model is the basis for the design of this European Exclusive - its colourways inspired by the night sky over the mountains. The deep blue dial features a subtle gentle vertical striped pattern and is complemented by ‘cathedral style' gold-coloured hour and minute hands. Paired with a deep blue calf leather strap, this timepiece is accompanied by an additional navy nylon strap in a special edition box.
Through the exhibition case back the in-house 6R35 calibre can be viewed, accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, with a power reserve of 70 hours; the limited-edition number is engraved on the case back.
